my parents have been married for over 30 years. i look at their marriage and long for something like it one day. they still flirt with each other at the dinner table and as far as i know, have never had any serious marriage problems. after 30 years, 3 decades, 10,950 days they are still in love with each other. this is a beautiful thing but at the same time, discouraging. i feel like i will never find it and i'm destined to be a sad divorced woman that is bitter at the male population. it's almost like i'm preparing myself to get married and get cheated on and get divorced because that is just what happens these days. there's no way around it. sometimes i think the people that are still married just worked through the infidelity which is something i can't ever see myself doing. i don't like to share.
three day weekends are as awesome as roller coasters, american cheese sandwiches, warm ocean water, and adorable kittens. i'm so excited to have monday off that i won't even go into it. i think you get the idea.
i thought i was lucky when i walked away from both of my car accidents without a scratch. apparently the long term damage to my spine is something i will forever pay for and i'm pissed. i am in so much pain right now and i lost my chiropractor's emergency number. sweet life.
is tonite the the nite i stand up for myself? will shit go down in barnes and noble or will the nasty bitch keep her mouth shut for one fucking nite? i need to be brave.
dancing makes you brave.

The whole 'destined to be a sad divorced woman' thing is negative projection. Stop it.
ReplyDeleteI was pretty psyched for a 3-day weekend, too, but here I am in the office (and pissed).
Dancing makes me brave too.
